Pikmin

Developer: Nintendo
Genre: RTS
Release: 3/09/2009
ESRB: Everyone

Pikmin is a game dating back to the days of the Gamecube, roughly eight years ago. The game isn't so much of a remake but implementing the game into the Wii library of games. You get to play Olimar, a stranded astronaut that crash landed on a planet with limited life support with a huge need to rebuild his spaceship and get the heck off the planet before his time runs out. Using the very uniqueness of the Wii control system, you direct Olimar around the planet getting plants to do his very evil biddings (no not really... there's no evil /sob), helping him rebuild his spaceship so he can survive. There is also a sequel to the original game that was also released on the Gamecube and is being worked on along side the original game.

You guessed it - by killing each other in very brutal, gory ways all for the sake of getting higher in rank on this reality TV show called Death Watch. The higher in rank you get on Death Watch the more likely you'll be able to get off the island. You play a big guy named Jack. Jack must kill, Jack also of course must do his little agendas on the side of more killing, but, in all black and white. That's right the graphics are black and white but because of that it actually makes the gory part of the game stand out.

Let's Tap

Developer: Prope
Publisher: SEGA
Genre: Party
Release: 6/16/2009
ESRB: Everyone

Let's Tap is a new Wii party game that actually makes use of the Wii remote in a totally new way. This party game has 5 different gaming modes that are all different from each other. In order to play each mini game you have to place the Wii remote on a box and tap the box with different frequencies to control different actions. For example, in the game Tower Blocks (its basically like Jenga), you line up blocks of the same color and if you get three in a row it turns those three blocks into a precious material like at first bronze then silver and eventually gold. The difficulty gets tougher as you progress through the precious metals. May the best player win!

The House of the Dead: Overkill

Developer: Headstrong Games
Publisher: SEGA
Genre: Shoot 'em up arcade style
Release: 2/10/2009
ESRB: Mature

House of the Dead has to be one of the funniest shoot 'em up arcade style zombie games I have ever played. My cousin and I still to this day reference the games ridiculous dialogues and die with laughter. In Overkill you play Isaac Washington and Agent G that are after a bad guy named Papa Caesar. As you blast your way through zombies to get to Papa Caesar you collect different power ups like grenades, health packs and also life points. The more life points the better because the more you collect the better chance you have to … rise from the dead **scary sounds** There are also 3 minigames to play like killing a bunch of zombies or save the fleeing civilians (I mean seriously, who wants to save civilians...) and also... a lame carny, shoot the still, target game.
